Elizabeth will visit Halloween for last-minute goodies and gifts, Thanksgiving and Christmas all in one night. She will end the show with a tour of the store -- new products arrive daily.

One silver lining of 2020 is shopping Birch St. House & Garden's artist collections from the comfort of your couch. Our events this spring were so successful, and they helped not only BSHG, but also the local artists featured. So, I decided it was time for another virtual trunk show, spotlighting Gretchen Nash Ceramics.

If you haven’t been — I just discovered that I have not hosted one of these sales in five years! Where does the time go? — you never know what treasures I unearth in my super old, kinda creepy basement. The deals are amazing, and you get to drink craft been and wine while shopping.

But be sure to sign up. Only those on the list will be able to come in after hours to shop, drink and catch up after the crazy holiday season. Oh….and no! You don’t have to venture down to the semi-creepy basement. All treasure will be hauled upstairs for your shopping convenience.

BSHG is excited to welcome back West Roxbury resident and artist Gretchen Nash. Come pick a piece of pottery or two for gifts or yourself. Also, the Boston Opera Collaborative will pop up in the shop to perform an aria or two this evening.

Attention all husbands, sons, boyfriends, uncles. Looking for a last-minute gift that does not look last-minute? Come down to BSHG. We can help. Rozzie resident and glass artist Spencer Kirk-Jackson will be in the house with a selection of his hand-made glass beads and pendants. Pick a bead (or more) and Spencer will turn them into a necklace or bracelet for you. If you need help selecting, Jess and I will be on hand to help.

Really, it's just about the easiest gift you can give. Plus, it's custom-made. You get extra points for that!

I'm super excited to be part of the first-ever Roslindale Holiday Market, a European-style outdoor market. Come down to Birch Street between Corinth and Belgrade Streets. Celebrate the season with neighbors and friends, while shopping for holiday gifts (and maybe even a treat for yourself too!). 

The Holiday Market will feature live music, delicious treats and local vendors, including Birch St. House & Garden. We will have a holiday stall, filled with German-inspired ornaments, Proof Handmade stockings and holiday banners, and snowflake paper lanterns. 

Join me this Thursday evening in welcoming Anna Koon to BSHG. Anna, a local artist, will bring with her a collection of her small original art blocks. They are priced to make giving art affordable and fun.
