store frontBirch St. House & Garden has called Roslindale home since 2001.

In the fall of 2001, founder Erin Brayton opened 18 Birch, located in the middle of Birch Street. With a strong background in the crafts world and a love for gardening, Erin brought a unique flavor to the home and garden gift store. In 2006, she moved to the corner of Birch and South Streets and changed the name to Birch St. House & Garden. With more space to fill, Erin included jewelry and fine scarves from around the world.

Today Birch St. House & Garden is owned by Elizabeth Swanson, who worked part-time at the store for six years prior to taking ownership in November 2008. From day one at 18 Birch, Elizabeth knew she was home.

Over the years we have expanded our selection of home accents and garden essentials to include jewelry, handbags, journals, children's gifts and more.

Many items come from fair trade cooperatives from around the world. Plus we have a number of lines created by artisans in the U.S.

Erin now crafts jewelry. Using found and "retired" jewelry, Erin turns the old into new and exciting pieces.
